Construction Scheduler

Description

Skilled scheduling professional with on-site construction experience utilizing industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; capable of managing resource-loaded schedules, subcontractor coordination, and material tracking directly at the job site to support real-time project controls and keep critical path activities on target.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Construction Schedules: Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, and site staff to develop detailed CPM-based schedules, set baselines, and maintain up-to-date timelines for on‑site activities. Create, update, and manage resource-loaded construction schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor Progress and Critical Path: Track schedule performance, monitor critical path tasks, and update schedules based on real-time site data and project changes.
  • Resource and Material Tracking: Monitor labor, equipment, and material deliveries on-site to maintain accurate schedules and support timely execution of critical path activities.
  • Coordinate Site Visits and Field Data Gathering: Conduct regular visits to the job site to validate progress, gather field input, and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Analyze Delays & Develop Recovery Plans: Identify scheduling risks or delays early, evaluate impact analyses, and propose alternative work sequences or recovery schedules.
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely schedule updates to project teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring clear understanding of milestones and dependencies.
  • Generate Reports & Schedule Documentation: Prepare progress reports, milestone summaries, and schedule variance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure Compliance with Contract Requirements: Verify that scheduling practices adhere to contract specifications, industry standards, and owner requirements.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Educate on-site personnel on schedule-related procedures, reporting requirements, and best practices to support consistent project delivery.

Job Type

Full‑Time, On‑Site (includes occasional travel depending on project location)

Pay

$130k-$170k

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related technical field. Options for Non-Degreed as well.

Licenses/Certifications

Driver’s License (Required)

Primavera P6 Certification, AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), PMP or CAPM.

Work Locations

Project‑based — ability to relocate or travel as needed for the duration of assignments.
