ACE is looking to hire an Operations General Superintendent that will perform on-site audits at various project locations where ACE field staff are utilized, as well as serve as the point-of-contact for ACE field staff. This individual will ensure that the needs and expectations of both ACE field staff and clients are met, will verify that work is being done as contracted, will collaborate with the management team at ACE to resolve any field issues, and will assess for and carry out any training needs. The Operations General Superintendent reports directly to the Vice President of Field Operations and will partner with other business sectors as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to and evaluate project sites; conduct unannounced visits to field staff.
  • Conduct appropriate maintenance practices with field staff; submit documentation so that all areas of a project are granted access and a DBIDS.
  • Leading and Supervising ACE 1099 staff – provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that all are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Create and submit reports for each project visit.
  • Providing regular progress updates, reporting on key performance indicators, and addressing any concerns or issue that may arise with management team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients during both travel and non-travel times.
  • Provide information and materials to field staff to ensure their success.
  • Ensuring that all staff are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.  This includes staying up to date with changes in regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and assessment of field staff.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on estimating and evaluating projects.
  • Collect necessary documents from clients to assist field staff.
  • Assist in resolving field staff issues and conflicts.
  • Fill in on projects, as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for ACE GSA projects.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

  • High proficiency in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficient with various communication technology, as well as industry-specific technology.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to report findings in a professional manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
  • Ability to gain access to any installation that ACE Field staff are working.
  • Must be able to practice fiscal responsibility.
  • Accurate and thorough understanding of industry- and sector-specific trends, terminology, and operations.

Work Locations

 

  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (extreme cold and extreme heat)
  • Locations will vary by project.

Travel Responsibilities

  • Must be able to travel at least 75% of the time.
