Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Quality Control Plans: Ensure all construction activities comply with established quality standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Monitor On-site Work: Regularly inspect and supervise construction processes to verify quality and adherence to project specifications.
Material Inspection: Verify that materials used on-site meet required standards and specifications before and during use.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and non-conformities, and prepare reports for project stakeholders.
Coordinate Testing and Inspection Activities: Schedule and manage third-party testing, such as soil, concrete, or steel testing, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Communicate with Project Teams: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and workers to ensure quality-related issues are promptly addressed.
Identify and Address Non-conformances: Detect deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions to resolve issues.
Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure construction processes follow local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
Manage Subcontractor Performance: Ensure that subcontractors adhere to quality control plans and performance expectations.
Provide Training and Guidance: Educate and train on-site personnel in quality standards, proper procedures, and best practices to maintain consistency in workmanship.

$135,000 to $170,000 per year

Qualifications

Degreed in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

Options for Non-Degreed as well

Licenses/Certifications

Driver’s License (Required)
USACE/NAVFAC CQM Certification (Required)
OSHA 30 (Preferred)
