Responsibilities & Scope: 

Implemented AHA’s and APP for construction upgrades at USACE Norfolk Dam. Completed weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings with client and daily safety inspection sheets. Supervised scaffolding operations and welding operation. Uploaded all required information to Contractors Share Drive.

Position: Site Safety Health Officer/Project Manager

Responsibilities & Scope: 

Implemented training programs to improve efficiency and reduce project costs and durations with a 3-day training system involving safety procedures, customer interface, estimating, repair maps, proposal writing, subcontract management, and project management processes in alignment with organizational vision and values. Added safety feature steel pole and steel steps for accessing materials/equipment of Sealcoating work truck, removing having to use wheels or other unsafe actions. Conducted safety meetings for new employees in using new equipment prior to evolution beginning. Daily inspection of on-site equipment and supplies to mitigate incident risks. Planned with the on-site foreman and superintendent on the safest approach to completing each job and kept a detailed record of all activities being performed.

Position: Site Safety Health Officer/ Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities & Scope: 

United States Department of Defense Contractor. Provided on-site and home office support for Port Security Barrier Systems and underwater cable installations. Provided safety watch for all projects and retrieved minutes for Blount Island, FL, BAE Systems, FL, Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA, MHI, VA, Newport News, VA, and Groton, CT supporting GDIT. SSHO on-site in Japan supporting Yokosuka Naval Base for underwater cable installation on board a barge. Provided safety briefs, equipment training, toolbox talks, safety expectations, and implemented AHA’s and APP in accordance with EM 385-1-1. Documented areas for safety correction until resolved by the team and ensured safety subcontractor compliance. Developed safety logistical procedures for on-site deliveries, maintained safety oversight for all contractors, sub-contractors, government personnel, and visitors.

Position: National Project Manager (Hybrid)/ Safety Manager

Responsibilities & Scope: 

Spearheaded and executed 500+ jobs, from initial ideation to completion. Focused on safety in high vehicle traffic areas and foot traffic by utilizing cones, barricades reflector ribbon/tape, and string. Reviewed work orders and safety guidelines daily with crew members. Planned with the on-site foreman and superintendent on the safest approach to completing each job and kept a detailed record of all activities being performed.

Responsibilities & Scope: 

Served as the assistant in all aspects of deck seamanship, engineering, and navigation. Enforced safety during operational activities and continually assisted in improving safety through a buddy system approach. Assisted marine operations as a rigger in buoy, day boards, and navigation light maintenance while onboard a 55’ and 26’ operational platform. Performed daily safety inspections of vessel operations, equipment, and safety supplies for 25’, 26’, 41’, 45’, and 55’ response vessels and operational buoy deck platforms.
